Article 1

1. With a view to the fourteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, the position of the Union is to submit a proposal for an amendment of Appendix I to the Convention to include the Baltic Proper harbour porpoise, Phocoena phocoena.

2. The Commission shall communicate this proposal, on behalf of the Union, to the Secretariat of the Convention.

This Decision is addressed to the Commission.
