Contents

Article 1

The Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the Andean Community and its Member Countries (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela), of the other part, is hereby approved on behalf of the European Union.

The text of the Agreement is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy shall chair the Joint Committee provided for in Article 52 of the Agreement.

The Union or, as the case may be, the Union and the Member States, shall be represented in the Joint Committee depending on the subject matter.

Article 3

The President of the Council shall designate the person empowered to proceed, on behalf of the European Union, to the notification provided for in Article 54 of the Agreement, in order to express the consent of the European Union to be bound by the Agreement.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
